Useful Before You Book

Booking an Appointment in Waterdown

You can request an appointment at Panacea Dental at any hour using the form on this page, or call 289-408-5100 during opening hours.

How the online form works

Worth knowing before you use it: an online booking is a request rather than a confirmed appointment. It reaches the office, and a member of the team calls you back to confirm a time that works. That is deliberate, because it lets us match the appointment length to what you actually need rather than dropping everyone into the same slot.

It also means online booking is the wrong channel if you are in pain. For anything urgent, call instead, and call as early in the day as you can.

What to have ready

Your dental insurance details if you have coverage, a list of any medications you take, and a rough idea of when you were last seen and by whom. If you have had radiographs taken elsewhere recently, tell us, because they can often be transferred rather than repeated.

If there is anything that would make the appointment easier to plan, mention it now. That includes anxiety about dental treatment, a need for a longer or quieter appointment, access or mobility needs, or a time of day that works better for you. These are all straightforward to arrange in advance.

Choosing a time

We are open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, and there is free parking on site. After school and after work slots between roughly 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm are the most requested and the first to go, so if you need one it is worth booking a couple of weeks ahead. See evening and Saturday appointments.

If you are a new patient

We are accepting new patients of all ages. A first appointment is an examination: we check the teeth, gums and soft tissues, take any radiographs that are needed, and explain what we find. You will be told what treatment is needed, why, what it costs and what happens if you wait, and if nothing needs doing you will be told that too. See your first visit.

On cost, we accept most insurance plans and will always attempt to bill your insurer directly, and we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan. For treatment beyond routine care we can send a predetermination to your insurer so your share is confirmed in writing before you commit. See dental costs and fees.

Frequently Asked Questions

Not immediately. It is a request that reaches the office, and we call back to confirm a time. That lets us match the appointment length to what you need. If your problem is urgent, call 289-408-5100 rather than booking online.

We aim to respond during the next working period after the request arrives. For anything urgent, calling is faster and we will make every effort to see you the same day.

For urgent problems such as pain, swelling or a broken tooth, call as early in the day as possible and we will make every effort to fit you in. Same day requests through the online form are less likely to be seen in time.

Mid morning and early afternoon on weekdays. Slots between about 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm and Saturday mornings are the most in demand, so book those further ahead.

No. We are accepting new patients of all ages, and you can request an appointment online or by calling 289-408-5100.
