Before You Visit
Finding Us in Waterdown
Panacea Dental is at 105 Clappison Ave #103, Waterdown, ON L8B 1W2. The practice sits on Clappison Ave in Waterdown, which is part of the City of Hamilton, and we see patients from Waterdown, Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville.
Parking
There is free parking on site, and plenty of it. You do not need to pay, display anything, or hunt for a space on the street. It sounds like a small point and it is not: parking is one of the most common reasons people arrive late or stressed for a dental appointment, and it is worth knowing in advance that it is not something you will have to think about here.
Opening hours
We are open Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The weekday evenings and the Saturday hours exist for a practical reason. The most common reason people put off dental care is not cost and not fear, it is not being able to take a morning off work. Appointments after 5:00 pm and on Saturday remove that problem. Those slots are also the first to fill, so booking a week or two ahead is worth doing. See evening and Saturday appointments.
Getting in touch
By phone: 289-408-5100. Best for anything urgent, for questions about insurance, or if you would rather speak to someone than fill in a form.
Online: request an appointment at any hour. The request reaches the office and we call back to confirm a time, so it is not instantly booked, which matters if your need is urgent.
Questions before booking: use ask questions if you want to check something first, such as whether a treatment is offered or how your plan is likely to apply.
If you are in pain today
Call rather than booking online, and call as early in the day as you can. We hold time for urgent problems and will make every effort to see you the same day for toothache, swelling, a broken tooth or a knocked out tooth. A knocked out adult tooth is genuinely time critical, so phone before doing anything else. Our emergency dental care page explains what to do in the meantime.
Before your first visit
Bring your dental insurance information, a list of any medications you take, and the name of your previous dental practice if you have recent radiographs that can be transferred. Arriving a few minutes early gives time for the paperwork without eating into your appointment.
If there is anything that would make the visit easier to plan, tell us when you book. That includes access or mobility needs, anxiety about dental treatment, a need for a longer appointment, or a time of day that works better. It is much easier to arrange in advance than on arrival. See your first visit.
New patients
We are accepting new patients of all ages. We accept most insurance plans and will always attempt to bill your insurer directly, and we accept the Canadian Dental Care Plan. How fees work is set out on dental costs and fees.
